A New Chapter

Updated: Aug 11, 2025

Hi everyone—Sorry I’ve been gone for a while. I guess I’ve been busy trying to piece my life together.

Back in December, I made a decision that had been quietly building inside me for months: I no longer wanted to live in Virginia. The military had brought me there, but once I got out, there was nothing tethering me—no family, no deep roots. So, I did what some might call bold… and others might call crazy. I packed up my life and left.

At first, I contacted moving companies, but the quotes were astronomical. Paying that much just to drag my old furniture across the map didn’t sit right with me. So, I sold what I could, and here’s where IKEA came in clutch—thanks to their 365-day return policy, most of my furniture found its way back to them (and back into my wallet).

On January 5th, I packed my little Nissan Versa with every piece of my life that mattered. Everything else? Left next to the trash in hopes that someone would give it a second life. By the early morning of January 6th, I was on the road. I didn’t look back—not that I could have, with my backseat stacked to the ceiling.

I won’t say exactly where I landed, but I will say this: the change has been good for me. The air feels different here. The energy is better. I’ve fallen into a rhythm—hitting the gym, eating healthier, and focusing on myself in ways I never had before. It’s as if the environment is slowly reshaping me into someone stronger, more centered, and more at peace.

So, here I am, promising to pop in here more often. A lot has changed—and I think I’m just getting started.
