Early Winter

Today, I took another small step toward making this place feel like mine. I cleaned, dusted, and pulled the Christmas tree from storage. It stands in the corner now, still bare, but tomorrow I’ll dress it in lights and ornaments. I’m hoping the glow will warm the quiet corners of this space.
It’s strange, learning a new rhythm. I miss cooking for two—the clink of an extra plate, the soft exchange of opinions over dinner. Sometimes, the silence feels heavier than the cold air outside. I tell myself it will get better, but I think what I’m really longing for is closure.
In the meantime, I’ve been pouring my energy into something that has quietly become my refuge—my YouTube channel. Filming, editing, and creating have given me a way to step out of my thoughts for a while. It’s not just content; it’s a small escape, a place where I can shape something out of the fragments of my day.

Winter is settling in, but I’m beginning to believe that somewhere within these long nights and quiet mornings, I’ll find my way.
